He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Blackford and Mildred Blackford (Glick); his former wife Doris Gross; his wife Mary Louise Shaffner (Latimer); and his brothers, Don and Bill Blackford.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia S. Fogt (David) of Sidney; his grandchildren, Shelly Stewart, Wendy Yinger (Joe), David Fogt and Christina Boulnois (Jason); and his siblings, Leo Blackford of Corbin, KY, Maxine Metz of Jackson Center and Maurine Zimpfer of Sidney. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
