He was predeceased by : his parents, John Ambos and Freda Ambos (Allenbaugh); his wife Joanna Louise Symonds; his son Robert L. Ambos II; and his siblings, Kathryn Cowan, Lucille Harris, Virgil and Darrell Ambos.
He is survived by : his child Acel E. Ambos (Bonnie); and his siblings, Patty Rickert and Don Ambos. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren.
