He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Platfoot and Ursula Platfoot (Schlater); his brother Ronnie Platfoot; his brother-in-law Tom Zimpfer; and his granddaughter Lindsey Platfoot.
He is survived by: his wife Linda (Eilerman); his children, Lisa Reese (Quentin) of Jackson Center, Dave Platfoot (Rita) of Anna, Kathy Luthman (Alan) of Anna, Kelly Wells (Marc) of Swanton and Jason Platfoot (April) of Jackson Center; his siblings, Marlene Siegrist (Earl) of Coldwater, Tom Platfoot (Diane) of Springboro, Jo Bergman (Dick) of New Bremen, Theresa Zimpfer of Anna, George Platfoot (Linda) of Anna and Frank Platfoot (Cindy) of Jackson Center; and his sister-in-law Neede Platfoot of Minster. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
