He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Soloman and Johanna Sophia Gross (Klopfenstein); and his great grandchild Greyson. He is survived by: his spouse Robin Oldacre; his children, Kelly Gross (David Hattery), Tamatha Sue Carr, Denise Hamel (Jeremy) and Michael Dennis Gross; his grandchildren, Kristen Geuy (Ryan), Craig Bodenmiller (Kella), Sean Carr, Jordan Carr, Mackenzie Hamel and Austin Hamel; his great grandchildren, Paige, Kaiden, Asher, Savannah, Grayson, Vail and Faith; and his siblings, Alma Huber, Charlotte Gross and Mark Gross (Sherri). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
