He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel H. Lotz and Flossie Lotz (Glick); his wife Elinor Eileen McGowan; his siblings, Helen Howard, Adelia Riley, Leland Lotz and Guy Lotz; and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Weiskittle and Eloise Siebeneck.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Zimpfer (Henry) of Jackson Center, Bruce Lotz (Sandy) of Jackson Center, Brian Lotz (Jamie) of Jackson Center and Melanie Lotz of Jackson Center; his grandchildren, Alison Barkman (Matthew), Jasmine Lotz (Shane), Ben Liggett, Stephany Oakley (John), Marshall Lotz (Allie) and Skyler Lotz (Julia); and his brother-in-law Max McGowan of DeGraff. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Over the years, Dennis donated his time supporting the local community by hauling bleachers for Community Days and taking tractors to the fair.
