She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto H. Alexander and Carrie Alma Alexander (Metz); her husband Richard R. Helmlinger; and her sister Kate Stewart (Robert). She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Hereld (Gary) and Pamela Mitchell; her grandchildren, Anthony Hereld (Allison), Rachel Wells (Tim Good) and Dustin Mitchell (Patricia); her great grandchildren, Sienna Borger, Drew Hereld, Mason Hereld, Luke Yerkey, Chance Hereld, Deja Wells and Rayden Wells; her great great grandchildren, Vivian Hereld and Paige Mitchell; and her brother Richard E. Alexander (Toot). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
