He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ratliff and Ada Nichols Ratliff; his wife Betty Byrd Ratliff; and his sisters, Doris Hadden and Jean Mootz.
He is survived by: his children, David S. Ratliff (Sara Beth) of Barboursville, WV and Rebecca R. Howell (William D.) of Huntington, WV.; and his grandchildren, David Nathaniel Ratliff of Barboursville, WV, Morgan Summers Lamberth of Cottontown, TN, John Summers Ratliff of Barboursville, WV, Lauren Rebecca George of Portland, CT, Christian Honaker Ratliff of Barboursville, WV and Madeline Ruth McNeel of Cincinnati, OH.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Central Christian Church (1541 S 7th St, Ironton, OH 45638). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
