She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Wilson and Doris Wilson (Patterson); her daughter Brenda Littlejohn; and her granddaughter Jamie Sue Barker. She is survived by: her husband Everett Mays; her children, Justin Wilson (Miranda) of Ironton and Rebecca Littlejohn of Proctorville; her grandchildren, Logan Star of Proctorville, John Andrew Barker of South Point and Elizabeth Miller of Lexington; her brother Adam Wilson of Ironton; her nieces and nephews, Robin Wilson, Shelly Knipp, Ryan Wilson and Steve Littlejohn; and her pets, Cally, Frank and Beans.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in Sue's name to a favored animal rescue organization.
