He is survived by: his children, Tara Thomas (Danny) of Ironton, Richard "Rick" Douglas Rice, Jr. (Megan) of Kernersville, Caryn "Sparkle" Turvey (Brent) of Ironton and Sherry Peck of Gallia County. He is also survived by several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
