He is survived by: his son Richard E.; his daughter-in-law Michelle Adkins of Nitro; his daughters, Beth Bloomfield of Ironton and Lea "Bunnie" Clark of Ironton; his grandchildren, Andrew Adkins, Josh Adkins, Peyton Adkins, Darin Bloomfield (Caitlin), Devin Bloomfield, Derik Bloomfield and Katie Groves; and his close friend Pat Roberts.
