He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Whitman and Harriett Whitman (Pratt); and his son Fredrick Douglas Whitman. He is survived by: his wife Karen Whitman (Neal); his daughters, Heather Foreman (Keith) of Galloway, OH, Carolyn Whitman (John Harr) of Hilliard, OH and Naomi Lewis (Jeremy) of Ironton, OH; his grandchildren, Candace Whitman, Olivia, Keegan, Kellan Foreman, Julianna, Lorna, Decklyn Harr, Malachi Whitman-Fannin and Miriam Whitman-Lewis; his great grandchild Tobias Douglas Whitman; and his brothers, Michael Whitman (Kimberly) and Ralph Whitman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
