He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Smith and Russell; his wife Sharon Sue Smith; his brother Kenny Smith; his son Jeffie Smith; and his great grandchild Jaxyn Black.
He is survived by: his daughters, Candy Stephens (Robert) and Becky Stone (John); his grandchildren, Cody Black (Tiffany), Kayla Smith (Greg), Dakota Stephens (Paige), Ryan Stephens (Crystal) and John Stone, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Lacyn, Addilyn, Kashton, Brooklee, Briar, Paisley, Braxtyn, Rylie, Reighlynn, Brody, Brynlee, Greg Jr. and Per.
