She was predeceased by: her parents, Minnie Allen and James L. Yates; her siblings, James Lewis, Ronald Dean, Karen, Paul, Allen and Juanita "Fay"; and her pet Sugar.
She is survived by: her children, Nina Strychalski, Morris Yates and Matthew Yates; her grandchildren, Julianna Yates and Jorge Harris; her pet Milo; and her brother Gary Yates (Nantha).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Blount & Curry (605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609).
