He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Halley and Louisa West Halley; and his wife Thelma Simmons Halley. He is survived by: his son Laban Halley, Jr.; his son-in-law James L. Hall; his siblings, Lena Brown, Edna Halley, Audrey Stevens, Claris Pack, Trimble and Cornelius Halley; his daughters, Deborah Hall of Ashland, Kandy Joseph (Larry) of Ironton and Sandra Davis (Jimmie) of Ironton; his grandchildren, Melissa McDaniel (Bill), Melanie Hawkins (Burl), Jeremy Hall (Kim), Joshua Hall (Angie), Jason Joseph (Courtney), Casey Thomas and Justin Thomas (Cherish); and his close friend Catherine Hall. He is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
