He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ottis Massie and Pearl Dean Massie; his wife Avanelle Dickess Massie; his siblings, Marie Massie, Ottis Massie, Raymond Massie, Harvey Massie, Clyde Massie and Dorothy Webb; and his nephew Richard Allen Dickess.
He is survived by: his great-nephew Richard William Dickess; and his great-niece Kim Coffman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (1004 S 7th St, Ironton, OH 45638). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
