He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank B. Riedel and Carrie Riedel (Steed); his wife Linda Jenkins Riedel; and his brothers, Paul and Jerry Riedel.

He is survived by: his son Frank Riedel (Leah) of Ironton; his grandson Anthony Riedel of Ironton; and his siblings, Frank D. Riedel (Elizabeth) of Ashland, Betty Cade (Ron) of Ironton and Lena Lampley (Roger) of Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
