It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary L. Townsend of Ironton, Ohio, who passed away on April 4, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Oakey Keith and Carrie Townsend (Castle); and his son Steve Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carol Townsend; his sons, Rick Townsend (Robin) and Keith Townsend (Sherry); his daughter-in-law Kim Townsend; his grandchildren, Tara Townsend (Jay), Josh Townsend (Amber), Jamie Phillips (Jeremy), Kayla Townsend and Matt Townsend; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Townsend, Addison Townsend and Jordan Phillips.
