He is survived by: his close friend Brenda Collins of Ironton; his children, Holly Gibbs (Dan) of Ironton, Jason Akers of South Point and Chandra Akers of Ironton; his grandchildren, Lorenzo Akers (Jessica) of Flatwoods, Caleb Vasquez of North Carolina, Lauralei Akers of Ironton, Noelani Akers of Ashland and Kinley Akers of Ashland; his great grandchildren, Mason Akers and Josie Akers; and his siblings, Mike Akers (Marcie), Cathy Clark (Doug), Margie Hayes, Dorothy Johnson and Beverly Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (1004 S 7th St, Ironton, OH 45638). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
