Alvin Wade Boyd Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Wade Boyd of Ironton, Ohio, who passed away on January 3, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Alvin is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Alvin's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Wade Boyd and Marie Boyd Stamper; and his sisters, Paula Gibbs and Brenda Boyd. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Boyd (Rhonda) of Franklin Furnace, Mike Boyd (Stephanie) of Coal Grove, Steven Boyd of South Point, Scott Boyd (Chrissy) of Franklin Furnace, Becky Bowden (John) of Roanoke, Virginia and Casey Boyd of Ceredo Kenova, WV; his sister Donna Vanover-McGlothlin; and his brother-in-law Denny McGlothlin. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as three nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1001 Kenwood Dr, Russell, KY 41169).
