He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patricia; his daughters, Diane L. Smykowski (John), Julianne T. Walker (Tom Mancini) and Karen M. Thorley; his grandsons, Jacob Smykowski and Jonathan Smykowski; his brother Edward Thorley (late Mildred); and his friend Jaci Stein.
