He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Tekien and Lilian Tekien; his grandchild Chastady Gordon; and his siblings, Florence Fetz and Frank Tekien.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Sandy Grayson (Dan), Lenny Tekien (Catherine), Lisa Killilea and Donald Jerome Tekien; his grandchildren, Steven Gordon, Brad Tekien, Amy Baumgartner (Gabe), Michael Tekien and Jaclynn Grayson; and his great grandchild Kirissa Pierce.
