He is survived by: his wife Melinda; his children, Dawn Downey (Daniel), Sandie Laba (Wayne) and Michael Laba (Rachel); his grandchildren, Ryan Downey, Emily Godbey (Eric) and Brandon Chontos (Heather); his great grandchild Beau Godbey; and his brothers, Daniel Laba (Kathy) and Phillip Laba (Stella).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Golubski Deliberato Funeral Home (6505 Brecksville Rd, Independence, OH 44131). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
