Janet M. Korecko Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet M. Korecko of Independence, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2025 at the age of 100. Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janet touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry B. Loving; her son Henry "Hank"; and her parents, Victoria Pahana and John Pahana. She is survived by: her children, Eileen Korecko and James Korecko (Barb Watson); and her siblings, Henry (Mary), Frank (Laverne) and Mary Petro (Frank). She is also survived by uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fortuna Funeral Home - Independence (7076 Brecksville Rd, Cleveland, OH 44131). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Saint Michael Catholic Church (6912 Chestnut Rd, Independence, OH 44131). A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the All Saints Cemetery (480 W Highland Rd, Northfield, OH 44067).
