He was predeceased by: his sisters, Theresa Fuwell and Dolores "DoDo" Farsetti; and his parents, Robert Lee Bowers and Mary Ellen Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Marie Bowers; his children, Brian Bowers (Amber) of Lorain, Steven Bowers of Amherst and Rachael Baker (Gavin) of Amherst; and his grandchildren, Brecken Bowers, Beau Bowers, Cailin Bowers, Morgen Baker and Daniel Baker. He is also survived by his six siblings.
