She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Ann (Gerhardstein) and Frank William Hager; her husband Francis LaMar Schmitz; her siblings, Frank Hager, Jr. and Edna Mae Hager Smith; and her children, Katherine Ann, Francis LaMar, Jr. and Wellington John.
She is survived by: her siblings, Patricia Kuns (Roger) and Wellington "Doc" Hager (Mary); and her children, Norbert J. Schmitz, Pamela Schmitz, Ellen M. Kilroy (Kevin), Gerard A. Schmitz, Frank J. Schmitz (LeighAnn) and Fern T. Watters (Kevin). She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
