He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Zelm and Florence Zelm (Fredrick); his siblings, Dr. Alan Zelm, Dr. Jerry Zelm and David Mittelstedt; and his sister-in-law Joann Zelm.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Klug; his children, Jon Zelm (Amy) of Arlington, TX, Dr. Holly Cox (Matt) of Huron, Shane Zelm of Arlington, TX and Justin Zelm (Annie) of Sandusky; his grandchildren, Alex, Evan, Sam, Jenna, Casey and Rachel; his siblings, Dr. Merlin Zelm and Carol Brue (Craig); and his sisters-in-law, Becky Zelm and Dr. Cheryl Mittelstedt. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A wake was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel (16 Cooper St, Wakeman, OH 44889).
