He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann Fritz (Summers); his parents, John Fritz and Ruth Fritz (McNutt); and his siblings, Andrew, David Fritz, Eunice Penning and Mona Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Lonnie L. Malson, Suzanne Coada (Daniel) and John "Jay" Fritz; his grandchildren, Monroe Moore (Jaime), Jacob Fritz (Kaitlyn), Joshua Fritz and Angela Markel (Bill); his great grandchildren, Roman, Ava Meyers, Greta L. Moore, Jamison and Lucas Fritz; and his sister Jean A. Fritz-Kovach. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
