He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Smith; his parents, Robert J. Smith and Sybil Smith; and his niece Cindy Hummel. He is survived by: his children, David Smith (Sherrie) of Lorain, Denise Kovach (Bill) of Huron and Diane Meyer (Don) of Amherst; his grandchildren, Tim, Chris, Jacob, Olivia, Emily and Kyle; his great grandchildren, Damian and Azay; and his brother John R. Smith.
