Borgelt and Marie Borgelt (Claus); his wife Millie (Christiansen); his daughter Tiffany Borgelt; his stepmother Freda Borgelt; his brothers, Jim and Robert Borgelt; his stepsister Marilyn Goldstein; his mother-in-law Sophie Christiansen; and his brothers-in-law, John Christiansen, David Meola and Jennings Hibbard.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Bindulski (John) and Steve Borgelt (Susan) of Huron; his grandchildren, Allyson Lindsley (John), Megan Hill (Chris) and Michele Kanaris (John); his great grandchildren, Jayla, Kyler Lindsley, Emma, Annie Hill, Simon and Jack Kanaris; his brother Sheldon Borgelt (Mare); his half-sister Evelyn Grimm (Kenneth); and his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Meola and Mary Ann Hibbard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
