With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred C. Kochendoerfer of Huron, Ohio, born in Bremen, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2024 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred P. Kochendoerfer and Lieselotte E. Kochendoerfer Jr. (Hennig); and his sister Alice Christiansan. He is survived by: his wife Gidget Propst; his sons, Fred P. Kochendoerfer III (Holly) of Sandusky and Eric J. Kochendoerfer (Lisa) of Sandusky; his stepchildren, Joshua L. Messer (Stacey) of Cincinnati, Autumn D. Mantooth (Richard) of Silver Creek, Georgia and Joseph L. Messer (Kathryn) of Berlin Heights; his grandchildren, Graden, Christian, Taylor, Annabell, Alayna, Killian, Bethany, Everleigh, Lydia, Nora and Sarah; his sister Charlotte Scheufler (Richard) of Collins; his nephews, Richard and Nicholas; and the mother of his children Judy Kochendoerfer. He is also survived by other relatives and close friends whom he regarded as his family.
