Elsie Marie Homegardner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Marie Homegardner of Huron, Ohio, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Wilson and Caroline Arena Zorn (Ryf); her former husband Daniel A. McLaughlin; her husband George J. Homegardner; her granddaughter Erika Lynn McLaughlin; her son-in-law Mark Ackerman; and her brother Kenneth Zorn.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Ackerman of Sandusky and Daniel McLaughlin (Chris) of Sandusky; her granddaughters, Beth Ann Williams (Matt), Cara Ackerman and Brooke Tallman (Scott); her great grandchildren, Landon, Lyllah, Ledger Williams, Anthony and Beau Tallman; her stepchildren, Brian Homegardner (Terri) of Vermilion, Craig Homegardner (Tammy) of Sandusky and Judy Magers of Fremont; her sister Marjorie Couts of Sandusky; and her sister-in-law Cindy Zorn of Huron. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Sandusky Fire Department Shoe Fund, (which was started by her father-in-law, Capt. Wilson "Slip" McLaughlin), 600 W. Market Street, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to The Meadows at Osborn Park Activity Fund, 3916 Perkins Avenue, Huron, OH 44839.
