It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Boos of Huron, Ohio, born in Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Boos and Virginia Boos (Farschman); his wife Sara J. Martin; his son Tim (Lynn); and his brother James Boos.

He is survived by: his daughters, Amy (Jim Both), Dana (Jason Matunas) and Jennifer (Roger Hoying); his grandchildren, Katie, Alex Both, DJ Boos, Natalie, Ethan and Naomie Hoying; his sister-in-law Susan Bakaitis; his uncle George Smith; and his pet Lucy. He is also survived by cousins; his grand-dogs; his large circle of friends.

The family wishes that any memorial donation be made to the Huron Fire Department, 413 Main Street or 1830 Bogart Road, Huron, Ohio 44839, the Huron Conservation Club, 2121 Huron Avery Road, Huron, Ohio 44839 or Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870, in Dave's name.

“In loving memory of David Boos, Someone so special will not be forgotten. Looked forward to our annual week with Dave at the cabin in Pennsylvania. My memories of Dave go back to 2004 when we met at the cabin and built the front porch for Dave and Martha. He will be greatly missed.”
