He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Frank Toft, Sr. and Martha Vorbau Toft; his grandparents, Chris Toft, Frank, Mary Vorbau and Matilda Kaufman Toft; his sister Marjorie Hermes; and his children, Kathleen Steinmetz and Timothy Carl Toft.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Mills Toft of Huron; his son Dr. Mark Toft (Donna) of Palm Coast, Florida; his son-in-law Guy Steinmetz (Bernice) of Kingsport, Tennessee; his daughters, Theresa (John Thompson) of Columbus, Lisa Long (James) of Vero Beach and Becky Halliwell (Dave) of Norwalk, Ohio; his grandchildren, Errin Anderson (Jordan), Jacquie Hughes (Ryan), Christopher Toft (Aubrey), Marcus Toft (Amy), Joshua Toft, Molly Toft, Kristin Frogge (William), Matthew Steinmetz (Ashlea), Timothy Tighe (Jeremy Fraser), Michael Tighe (Brittany), Nicholas Long, Andrew Long (Megan), Katie Fries (Ben) and Melanie Reedy (Justin); his great grandchildren, Tobin, Micaiah, Cyrus, Tahlia, Mara, Phineas, Gideon, Cana, Jonah Hughes, Damian, Simon, Benjamin Toft, Avonlea, Alera Steinmetz, Madeline Frogge, Sophia Grace Long, Jocelyn, Felicity, Lilian Shipley, Avery, Alivia, Addison, Cooper McFarland, Caleb Reedy, Mia and Natalie Fries; and his sister Marlene Poock.
