It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald R McPommell of Huntsville, Ohio, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy McPommell and Irene Smulsky McPommell; his brother Robert McPommell; his stepdaughter Jacklynn Darling; and his spouse Climouth Conn McPommell.
He is survived by: his children, Kelli Corkern (Jim) and Kurt D. McPommell; his stepson John Scott (Barbara); his grandchildren, Ryan Cook, Rhette Cook (Janna), Ross Cook (Ashley), Douglas Zugelder (Megan), Jennifer Darling and Sandra Lynn Darling; his great grandchildren, Noah Cook (Caitlynn), Gavin Cook, Gatlyn Cook, Ryleigh Cook, Madox Cook, Tanner Hill, Maley Hill, Rowan Cook, Anna Alford, Kaiden Cook, Camden Cook, Cassidy Zugelder, Embry Zugelder and Megan Glover; and his siblings, Florence DeHaven, Dory Sweeney, Marty McPommell and Richard McPommell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Shoffstall Funeral Home (205 S Main St, Lakeview, OH 43331). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Don's memory to Logan County Cancer Society c/o Mary Rutan Hospital or woundedwarriorsproject.org.
