He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Murphy and Frances Mae Gunn; and his siblings, Patricia Rose (Daniel) and Frank Gunn. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Anne "Sally" Gunn; his sons, Bryan Lynn Gunn and Brendan Richard Gunn (Angie); his stepchildren, Lawrence L. Meehan III (Mary), Mary Louisa L'Hommedieu (Kevin), Rebecca Anne Meehan (David Adkins) and Bridget Kathleen Coughlin (Brendan); and his sister Carol Cushman (Charles).
