He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Keith E. Colwell. He is survived by: his close friend Koren Whipp. He is also survived by his aunts, cousins.

(http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org) Private family services were officiated by Pastor Shawn Carafa at Markillie Cemetery in Hudson, Ohio on December 21.
