He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Daugherty and Ethel Daugherty; and his brother Donnie Ray Daugherty. He is survived by: his wife Sheryl; his children, Leslie Bickett (Steve), Sean Daugherty and Kelly VonderBrink (Tyler); his stepson Jesse Sam; his grandchildren, Jordan Daugherty, Jacob, Nolan VonderBrink, Alexander "Xander" Daugherty and Olivia "Livvy" Hughes; and his brothers, Paul Daugherty (Sheila) and Patrick Daugherty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Kettering Medical Center Foundation - Cancer Care.
