He is survived by: his siblings, Wanda Wilt, Robert (Sandra), Richard (Margaret), Malcolm and Ronald (Sandra); his children, Vickie Cates (Bill), Steven Wilt, Gregory Wilt (Valerie), Linda Sonick (Tom) and Karen Hatfield; and his grandchildren, Scott Cates, Brent Cates, Tiffany Johnson, Amy Allen, Matthew Sonick, Arianne Wilt and Samantha Wilt.
