He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Whetstone and Helena Whetstone (Burtchin); and his siblings, Mevlin, Gerald Whetstone, Eleanor Marcee and Anneta Ladd.
He is survived by: his wife Gretchen M. Whetstone (Miller); his sons, Jeffrey L. Whestone (Lally) and Scott A. Whetstone; his sisters, Norma Jean Tice of Lima, OH and Charlene Dyer; his grandchildren, Lauren Whetstone (John Kallestad), Jeremy Whetstone, Joshua Whetstone (Stephanie) and Rebecca Whetstone; his great grandchildren, Anakin and Oliver Whetstone; and his pets, Brutus and Woody.
