She was predeceased by: her father Norman Gentis; her stepfather Victor Baker; her grandparents, Harley, Mildred Gentis, Doris Breitkreitz and Vigil Cate; and her stepgrandparents, Elbert and Marie Baker.

She is survived by: her mother Sharon Baker (Baker); her fiancé Mark Spohn; her children, Joseph Leonard, Kyle Leonard, Amber McNutt and James Carpenter; her grandchild Paisley Herring; her siblings, Candy Salyer, Mickie Hudson and Mellisa Casarez; her pet Rio Carpenter; and her close friend Teresa Smith. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.
