He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Brack F. Houchens and Anna Lee Houchens; his wife Nancy; his granddaughter Hayley; his children, Terrie Slack (Curt), Brack Houchens (Gloria), Scott Houchens (Beth) and Anna Case (Mark); and his grandchildren, Carrie, Curtis (Nancy Slack), Dorothy, Tyson, Perry (Hannah Houchens), Scott (Lauren Houchens), Collin (Christian Volk), Charles McDermott and Sarah (Zach Case). He was also cherished by eleven great-grandchildren.
