It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara J. Shaulis of Hubbard, Ohio, born in Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on September 14, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frankie L. Brown Painter and Frank Wilbur "Jimmy" Painter; her aunt Kathleen "Katie" Brown Marstiller; her sister-in-law Margaret Painter; her nephew Michael James Painter; and her former husband David Allen Shaulis.
She is survived by: her children, Sherri Leigh Shaulis (Michael Colbert) of Los Angeles and Shawn Allen Shaulis (Janet Thomae) of Austintown, OH; her grandchildren, Mason Parker Shaulis (Stephanie Shaulis) of Austintown, OH, Madison Jean Roslyn Colbert of Los Angeles and Niycolle Aaliyah Voorhies of Los Angeles; her brother William "Bill" Painter (Beth Painter) of Elkins, WV; her nephew Jonathan Brown Painter; her great-niece Amelia Violet Painter of Washington, DC; and her sister-in-law Kerry Lynn Shaulis of Bethany, WV.. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Sara's name to The American Heart Association or Pittsburgh Pirates Charities.
