He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hugh McConnell and Winifred "Fritzie" Warner McConnell; his wife Susan Evanicky; his children, Stephanie McConnell (Art Tompkins) of Hubbard and Shaun McConnell (Lisa) of Hubbard; his stepchildren, Todd Simpson (Michelle) of Sylvania and Pamela Leahy of Lake Milton; his grandchildren, Colin, Emma, Chloe, Gavin, Megan (Zach), Mikayla, Ryan, Nathan and Kellsey; his brothers, George McConnell of Girard and Donn McConnell (Heather) of Hubbard; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth McConnell. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
