He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Berl M. Hettrick and Ruth A. Kesner Hettrick; his wife Rhonda Young; his sons, Richard A. Hettrick Jr. (Julia Raia) of Costa Rica and Glen B. Hettrick (Tammy Lynn) of Chico; his grandson Clay Hettrick; and his siblings, Judy Price (Dick) of Hubbard, Janice Bolchalk (Bill Axelson) of Canfield and Thomas M. Hettrick. He was also cherished by five nieces.
