She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth C. Recktenwalt and Leona Evans Recktenwalt; and her siblings, Christopher, Leland, David and Sandra Roman.

She is survived by: her siblings, Linda Bartram of Canton, Ohio, Michael Recktenwalt (Sandra) of Canton, Ohio, Gretchen Thomazin (Chris) of Canton, Ohio, Catherine Werle of Burlington, CT and Sharron Harper (Scott) of Southington, Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mary Jo's memory to Alzheimer's Association, a local animal shelter or food bank.
