She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Sr. Maietta and Ida Seiling Maietta; her husband Anthony "Tony" Kowalski; and her brother Gerald Maietta Jr.. She is survived by: her brother Frank Maietta (Wendy) of Hubbard; and her nieces, Marie Kowalski (Eric Darr) and Brittany Emery (Charlie Jordan).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN. 38105.
