He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Blackwell and Bessie Hawkins Blackwell; his wife Jeri Phillips; his children, John Blackwell, Jr. (Victoria) of Warren, OH, Kisharra McBride (Richard) of Youngstown and Destiny; his grandchildren, Nadiyah, Austin, Dallas and Empress Blackwell; and his siblings, Ruby Warren of Youngstown, Elizabeth Hunter of California, Nathan Blackwell of Charlotte, NC, Grady Eatmon of Buffalo, NY, Mary Cardenas, James Blackwell and Willie Eatmon.
