He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Groover and Esther White Groover; his brothers, Paul and Tom Groover; his daughters, Terri Newhouse and Jamie R. Fox; his grandson Angelo "Penguin" D'Augostini; and his daughter-in-law Sharri Groover.
He is survived by: his wife Dian Groover; his sons, Edward "Jimmy" James Jr., Michael, Judd, Brian and Ryan Groover; his stepsons, Kevin (Jessica), Brian Barwell (Lisa) and Jamie Fabian (Katie); and his siblings, Silvia Karcesky, David Groover, Anna Reimold and Debbie Sok. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
