He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Sr. Franklin and Lola Belle Burkey Franklin; his wife Ida M. Hall; his son-in-law John Miller; and his brothers, Melvin Franklin, John E. Franklin Jr., Daniel E. Franklin Sr., LeRoy G. Franklin Sr., Harry Franklin and Joseph Franklin Sr..
He is survived by: his daughter Vivian A. Miller of Poland; his grandchildren, Sherry Spencer (Shane), Ashley Arthur (Zack), Joshua Flippin (Trisha), John Miller (Monica) and Ragan Miller (Fred); and his siblings, Myrtle A. O'Conner of Austintown, Margaret Marshall of Champion and Kenneth W. Franklin of Youngtown, Ohio.. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
