He was predeceased by: his daughter Kamara Kay Armstrong; and his siblings, Dwight Armstrong, Bob Armstrong, Ronnie Armstrong, Keith Armstrong, Marlene Pitts and Elaine Scott.
He is survived by: his spouse Ruth Edmister; his grandchildren, Eric Grassbaugh (Kacey) of Marengo, Tanya Grassbaugh-Newell of Fredericktown, Tyler Durbin of Columbus and Sam Armstrong of Dayton; his great grandchildren, Lee B. Newell, Elyse Newel of Fredericktown, Emerson Grassbaugh and Cecilia Grassbaugh of Marengo; and his siblings, Gary Armstrong of Mount Vernon, Dick Armstrong (Connie) of Ashland and Dorothy Welch (Jack) of Jelloway.
